Well Ainge hired Brad Stevens so this doesn't even seem like a question

While both are great, the answer is 100% Stevens because Ainge's contributions to the season were Hayward and Kyrie.

Checkmate. Forum Done.
Ainge also built the rest of the team. 2 picks in the top 5. Smart at 6. All the wheeling and dealing to get those picks.

Ainge pulled the trades that got the picks that turned into Tatum and Brown. Ainge overpaid Horford when the cap spiked but since that deal was only 4 years it looks like it is delivering dividends on the back end in these current playoffs. Horford may even opt out after next season especially if he has a productive one to secure more guaranteed money either in Boston or with another team. If that is the case Ainge will have valuable cap space when most of the roster is still on rookie contracts. If Ainge was a ufa pretty sure he would get calls from all the 29 other teams for an executive position. He flat out robbed Brooklyn, Cleveland and Philly in the KG-Pierce, Kyrie and Fultz trades.
