I gave them a "B" based on the fact that they didn't mess anything up. Baby steps for the Nets.

They ended up with a lot of expiring contracts and a couple of picks. I would say a solid "C" for this off-season as its more of a preparation for next year's off-season where they will have a lot of cap to work with to try and entice one or two big name free agents and/or a few solid free agents.

B if they are tanking, C if they are trying to win and think they are a fa destination. F if it's neither

I voted "B" but kinda wish I voted "C".

Their signings weren't great and their draft picks are all long-term.

DEPTH CHART
PG: Russell, Dinwiddie, Napier
SG: Crabbe, Harris, Graham
SF: Carroll, LeVert, Musa, Kurucs
PF: Hollis-Jefferson, Faried, Dudley
C: Allen, Davis

They only have five bigs under contract (and "bigs" is stretching it given that two are RHJ and Dudley).
Napier: Their best signing and he's a 3rd string entering the season.
Graham: He is more of a SF but the position is quite crowded. Fifth wing off the bench either way, he's a poor man's Harris.
Musa/Kurucs: Neither expected to contribute right away.
Faried/Dudley: Contracts where they got picks out of the trades but both of these guys might end up in the rotation - which is not where a rebuilding team typically wants to be. They are probably holding these guys so they can package them with Dinwiddie (who otherwise can't be traded for value given how underpaid he is).

The Nets play small ball and have a bigger backcourt than most and can certainly appear "positionless" at times, but let's not get it twisted, Kevin Durant would be a center on this team. Small ball without front-court talent will only take you so far.[/quote]
