Would prefer they go under, stay healthy, work on chemistry with new guys and have momentum going into playoffs

it's a lot cleaner than having an extra option for 'exactly 53 wins' - which you'd need if you posed the question without the 0.5.

That's not betting lingo, that's basic math. They set it at 53.5 so that 54 is over and 53 is under. If they had an even number, there's a chance of a push. Not complicated in the slightest.
