Manchester United are preparing for Cristiano Ronaldo to force his way off the club again this January if he cannot win his place back in Erik ten Hag\'s team.
Ronaldo has not started a Premier League match since August.
UEFA rules would allow Ronaldo to sign for a team in the Champions League in January and play in the knockout rounds in the new year despite having made two appearances for United in the Europa League this season.
Ronaldo has a contract at Old Trafford until the end of the season, plus an option to extend until the summer of 2024.
