United Seek Termination Of Cristiano Ronaldo\'s Contract

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Fri Nov 18, 2022 6:46 pm

Manchester United say they have \"initiated appropriate steps\" to terminate the contract of Cristiano Ronaldo as well as potentially suing him for breach of contract.

In a meeting on Monday, manager Erik ten Hag told club bosses including co-chairman Joel Glazer, chief executive Richard Arnold and football director John Murtough that he does not want Ronaldo back after the World Cup.

Ronaldo has infuriated the club by claiming they have made \"zero progress\" since Sir Alex Ferguson retired in 2013 while also saying he \"doesn\'t respect\" Erik ten Hag.

Sources have told ESPN that United are hoping to conclude their action against Ronaldo \"as swiftly as possible.\"

I don't have access to Ronaldo's contract, but what possible reason could they have to claim that he has breached his contract? Is there a strict clause that says he can't say anything potentially negative about Man U? I highly doubt that. Even so, what he said (just like anything said by anyone) is open for interpretation.

Also, they are still paying Mason Greenwood despite being on trial for attempted rape. How can they possibly claim to have grounds to sue Ronaldo for saying he doesn't respect the coach when they are paying Greenwood while on trial for attempted rape. **** ridiculous logic.

They can either buy Ronaldo out, sit him, sell/transfer him, or play him. Likely nothing else. & I am fairly sure that their high paid attorneys have told them something similar (unless they are just miking Man U for the hours - which is highly likely given Man U's propensity for stupidity).
