England advanced to the Euro 2024 final with a 2-1 win over the Netherlands. England, who will play in their second consecutive final, will meet Spain in Berlin on Sunday.
Xavi Simons gave the Dutch an early lead in the seventh minute with a powerful strike after taking the ball away from Declan Rice. England equalized 11 minutes later when Harry Kane calmly converted a controversial penalty.
England created more opportunities, especially through Phil Foden and Bukayo Saka. With a 3-4-2-1 formation, Saka handled his increased defensive responsibility on the right flank. Robbie Mainoo provided enough cover to make the formation work for Gareth Southgate.
Saka had a goal wiped away late in the second half with a Kyle Walker offside. But in the 90th minute, Cole Palmer found Ollie Watkins in the box, who turned and beat Bart Verbruggen for the match winner.
