Since Fulham was promoted back to the Premier League in 2022, they have been highly competitive and difficult to play against. Their player acquisition strategy has been to target talented veteran players in need of a fresh start with a new club. In the NBA, they call the strategy \"second draft players.\"
Of the 21 players signed by Fulham since promotion, 15 had Premier League experience and one, the Nigeria center-back Calvin Bassey, had played in the Scottish Premiership.
Sander Berge and Timothy Castagne arrived after respective relegations with Burnley and Leicester. Raúl Jiménez, 33, and Adama Traoré, 28, had their careers stall out before leaving Wolves. Alex Iwobi has found a new start after leaving Arsenal for Everton and then to Fulham.
Emile Smith Rowe has also begun to show his potential after arriving last summer from Arsenal for £27 million.
Manager Marco Silva guided them through promotion and is on a contract until 2026.
