PSG Demolishes Real Madrid 4-0 To Reach Club World Cup Final

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Thu Jul 10, 2025 3:43 am

Paris Saint-Germain dominated Real Madrid 4-0 at MetLife Stadium on Wednesday, advancing to Sunday\'s Club World Cup final against Chelsea. Two early defensive errors from Madrid gifted PSG a commanding lead within nine minutes.

Luis Enrique\'s side controlled the match from the opening whistle. Fabian Ruiz opened the scoring after Ousmane Dembele capitalized on a poor touch from Madrid center-back Raul Asencio. Three minutes later, Antonio Rudiger\'s miscommunication led to Dembele\'s second goal.

The French winger proved instrumental throughout the contest, creating both early goals and assisting on PSG\'s breathtaking third score. Ruiz completed his brace with a well-worked team goal in the 24th minute. Substitute Goncalo Ramos sealed the victory with an 87th-minute strike.

Madrid\'s star duo of Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Junior failed to threaten PSG\'s defense. The pair\'s lack of defensive intensity exposed Real Madrid\'s vulnerability against PSG\'s high-pressing attack led by Dembele, Desire Doue, and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. Mbappe left PSG to sign with Madrid last summer and his former club has now won the Champions League and advanced to the Club World Cup Final since his departure.

Veteran midfielder Luka Modric, playing his final match for Madrid before joining AC Milan, entered as a substitute with the match already decided.

\"The first goals condemned the game a bit and they were comfortable, we were less so,\" Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois told DAZN. \"It\'s a tough defeat, but one to learn from.\"

PSG will face Chelsea in the Club World Cup final on Sunday at 3 p.m. ET at MetLife Stadium.
