The 27-year-old Sweden international remained focused solely on joining Arsenal despite late interest from other clubs. Gyokeres\' agent waived his commission to facilitate the transfer, and Arsenal has prepared a contract through June 2030.
Sporting president Frederico Varandas previously threatened Gyokeres with a \"heavy fine\" after the striker missed pre-season training amid Arsenal\'s pursuit. The forward has since been absent from team activities as negotiations progressed.
Gyokeres scored 54 goals in 52 matches for Sporting last season, helping the Portuguese club secure a league and cup double. Arsenal identified the striker as their preferred center-forward target after finishing second in the Premier League for a third consecutive campaign.
