David Silva will be out up to three weeks with an ankle injury.
There were initially fears that Silva would miss the rest of Manchester City's season and also miss the World Cup after being stretchered off the pitch on Monday.
City's medical staff are hopeful Silva will be able to return before the end of the season, saying he is likely to be out for two to three weeks.
