Arsenal at Chelsea (Sunday, 9:05 AM EST): The images of the most recent match between these two clubs, a 6-0 embarassment of the Gunners in Arsene Wenger's 1,000th match as manager, are still fresh in everyone's mind. Chelsea and Arsenal are the only two clubs left in the EPL who have yet to lose a match, but José Mourinho's side has looked vastly superior with Diego Costa scoring eight goals already. But Costa may not be available due to that infamous hamstring.
Danny Welbeck's hat-trick midweek against Galatasary in the Champions League showed what Arsenal's new pieces are capable of achieving, but that type of blitz still needs to be achieved versus a side of Chelsea's quality before the skepticism evaporates.
Roma at Juventus (Sunday, 12:00 PM EST): Both sides enter this match atop Serie A with a full 15 points and a +10 goal differential for Juve and a +8 for Roma. A full three points for either side would give them the inside track early in the season. Andrea Pirlo may make his first appearance for Juve in a month as a substitute, while Roma has a ton of injury issues. The matchup between Francesco Totti, who scored against City this week in the UCL, and Giorgio Chilellini will be particularly interesting to watch. Ultimately, we'll be fortunate to see any goals in what will be a defensive match.
Atlético Madrid at Valencia (Saturday, 10:00 AM EST): Valencia has beaten up on the lesser competition of La Liga and sit in second place behind Barcelona and ahead of Atleti. This is their first test against one of the top-3 clubs and will serve as a good litmus test if they're legitimate contenders. Paco Alcácer has four goals and three assists to begin the season and is close to a new deal with Valencia.
