James Milner is hoping to sign a contract extension with Manchester City.
Milner joined City for a reported €36 million fee in 2010 and has made over 150 appearances in all competitions, but just 12 league starts last term.
"We've been in talks with the club," Milner told reporters. "We've talked about it and hopefully it can get sorted sometime soon.
''I don't want to be paid to sit and watch. You want to feel like you're contributing and enjoy your football as much as you can, so I am in a happier place now.''
