Yaya Touré has been under scrutiny at Manchester City this season as there has been a strain between he and the club stemming from an incident involving his birthday, as well as how he was treated following the death of his brother Ibrahim.
"There are a lot of reports Yaya will be sold," said Manuel Pellegrini. "Nowhere in this club are we talking about that. Yaya is very important."
Touré was one of the best players in the EPL last season and helped lead City to their second title in three seasons.
