Wolfsburg have rejected reports of their interest in Edin Dzeko.
Dzeko played for Wolfsburg between 2007 and 2011, helping the club win the Bundesliga in 08-09 and leading the league in goals in 09-10.
The 29-year-old's agent, Irfan Radzipegic, said earlier this year that the striker would "prefer a big club" if he did decide to leave the Etihad Stadium.
Wolfsburg have also been linked with 22-year-old attacker Kevin Volland, who could leave Hoffenheim this summer should they fail to qualify for Europa League.
