Bayern Munich is preparing a transfer for attacking midfielder Julian Draxler that would allow him to spend one more season with Schalke, according to a report from Jan Aage Fjortoft.
Draxler previously said that he would never play for Bayern, but it is believed the 20-year-old has had a change of heart.
Arsenal attempted to bring Draxler from Schalke during the January window, but were unsuccessful in their bid.
"I have been told that Arsenal felt they "lost" player when Bayern entered the stage. But I understand player hasn't decided yet," writes Fjortoft.
Draxler has the second highest WhoScored average rating for Schalke this season in Bundesliga play.
