Daniel Sturridge likes to prepare for games by watching his own highlight reel on the team bus on the way to the stadium.
“I watch the goals on my phone to get me in the mood and to give myself a vision of how I want the game to go,” said Sturridge. “As the season has gone on, I have got more clips, but that’s good. It keeps changing and I will do the same routine against Cardiff.
“The clips now last around 15-20 minutes, which is normally what the coach ride to a stadium takes - so it is perfect. It gets me in the right mood.”
Sturridge has scored 18 goals this season along with six assists.
