Lionel Messi and Barcelona have agreed upon a new contract extension that will pay him $27.5 million per season to make him the world's highest paid soccer player.
The report goes on to add that Mess’s release clause will continue to be worth $343.8 million.
Messi will have an additional $4 million to $6 million in available incentives.
Messi also will retain 100 percent of his image rights.
