Atlético Madrid would like to renew the contract of Tiago Mendes.
There are reports that Arsenal is interested in the 33-year-old Portuguese midfielder.
“I spoke with Tiago in December and went back again a few days ago," said Diego Simeone. "He is a major player, he is strong and an important figure. Hopefully he will continue next season.”
