United, Barcelona Interested In Thomas Vermaelen

Manchester United and Barcelona are interested in buying Thomas Vermaelen from Arsenal.
Vermaelen would cost approximately £12 million.
Arsenal would prefer not to sell Vermaelen to United.
Louis van Gaal is remaking his central defense and Vermaelen would play as the left-sided center-back in a 3-5-2 formation.
