United Plans Another Big Spend During January Window

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Tue Sep 2, 2014 8:06 pm

Manchester United spent £150.1 million during the summer transfer window and plan on using the January window to further strengthen their club.

Although United paid £59.7 million for Angel Di María, a £6 million loan fee for Radamel Falcao, £27 million for Luke Shaw, £28 million for Ander Herrera, £16m for Marcos Rojo and £14m for Daley Blind, there remains a sizable sum at Louis van Gaal’s disposal.

Van Gaal still wants to add a top-line central midfielder and central defender to his squad.

Kevin Strootman is a top target from Roma if he recovers from a serious knee injury suffered in March.

Mat Hummels is another prime target, though Borussia Dortmund will be reluctant to sell.
