Real Madrid's Interest In Lucas Silva Increases With Latest Injury

With James Rodríguez potentially joining Luka Modric on the injury list for an extended period, Real Madrid has increased their interest in a January transfer for Lucas Silva of Cruzeiro.
Silva would give Real Madrid more depth in midfield.
“We’ll have to wait for the Christmas period when everything will be clearer in terms of the recovery periods for Modric and Khedira,” said Carlo Ancelotti. “After that, during that period, we will take a decision. It’s true that we are interested in Lucas Silva but he’s not the only player.
“If we need to, after the Club World Cup, we’ll take the decision depending on an evaluation of our midfielders who are injured at the moment.”
