José Mourinho has joked that he'll try to sign Steven Gerrard for Chelsea.
Gerrard is leaving Liverpool and has agreed to sign with the LA Galaxy of the MLS.
Mourinho said he was "sorry" that the former England captain is leaving the Premier League.
When asked if he would try to persuade Gerrard to stay, Mourinho told BBC 5 live: "Or to get him on loan."
The reference is to Frank Lampard, who left Chelsea to sign with New York City FC and was subsequently loaned to Manchester City.
