Aston Villa Fire Paul Lambert

Aston Villa has fired Paul Lambert as manager following a 10-match winless run leaving them in the relegation zone.
Lambert, who was appointed in June 2012 as a replacement for Alex McLeish, had given no indication that he would consider walking away from his post after Tuesdat's loss.
First-team coach Scott Marshall and goalkeeping coach Andy Marshall placed in temporary charge.
