Ronaldo has reiterated his plans to return to competitive soccer with the Fort Lauderdale Strikers of the NASL.
“If Fort Lauderdale reach the playoffs, I might give it a go again but I'd have to train very hard as my time has passed," the 38-year-old told Canal Plus.
Ronaldo joined the Strikers' ownership group in December 2014.
The three-time Fifa World Player of the Year scored 62 goals in 98 games for his country, and also helped the Selecao to two Copa America titles.
