Real Madrid have been linked to a deal with Chelsea for Cesc Fabregas but Zinedine Zidane said it may not be practical.
"If you want to put another central midfielder into the mix then it becomes complicated," said Zidane.
"Cesc is a great player but it is not very straightforward. I am going to end up with a squad where three or four players do not get selected. To therefore put another player in there makes it difficult."
Real Madrid already has Luka Modric, Toni Kroos, Isco and James as midfielders who perform similar functions as Fabregas.
