Manchester United are prepared to pay off Bastian Schweinsteiger to the amount of €11 million ($12 million) to leave the club.
Schweinsteiger has been forced to train with the reserves since Jose Mourinho arrived.
Schweinsteiger's current deal runs through 2018.
Schweinsteiger would be free to sign with another club if he agrees to the buyout.
