The expected transfer fee of Kylian Mbappe continues to increase with a £100 million payout to Monaco eventually expected.
"He almost signed at Real Madrid (when he was younger) it did not happen," said Zinedine Zidane.
"He is a player who is showing all his qualities and is having an exceptional season.
"Even though I have an opinion, it's never very good to talk about players who are not my players."
Real Madrid are believed to be Mbappe's preferred destination though several Premier League teams and Barcelona also have interest.
