Manchester City and Kevin de Bruyne are nearing agreement on a six-year contract extension believed to be worth approximately £210,000 ($281,000) per week.
The deal is believed to have been agreed upon in principle last week with his agent Patrick De Koster.
De Bruyne is one of the favorites to win Premier League Player of the Year with his form over the first part of the season.
City bought De Bruyne from Wolfsburg for £55 million.
