Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is set to replace Jose Mourinho as interim manager while Manchester United begin their search for a permanent replacement.
Mike Phelan, a long-time assistant to Sir Alex Ferguson, is expected to aid Solskjaer as an assistant. Phelan was let go by David Moyes in 2013.
Solskjaer had recently announced a contract extension with Molde FK through 2021.
