No other current manager or coach has been approached to discuss the position.
Solskjaer has reportedly moved ahead of Tottenham\'s Mauricio Pochettino and Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri.
Solskjaer replaced Jose Mourinho in December on an interim basis.
