The Seattle Sounders Academy U-17s made history by becoming the first MLS team to win the prestigious Generation Adidas Cup. After being the first MLS team to make it to the finals, they defeated Valencia\'s youth academy 1-0 to become champions.
The U-17 side defeated Flamengo, River Plate, and West Ham in the tournament.
5 players from the side are either under contract with the first team or with the Tacoma Defiance.
