La Liga was fined $280,000 by the Spanish data protection agency for using their phone app to catch illegal streams of their games.
The app, which was downloaded 4 million times, tapped into its user\'s microphones to find bars that were illegally broadcasting matches.
La Liga will remove the microphone setting but will appeal the fine, saying that users were asked twice to consent to their microphone setting.
