MLS and the Portland Timbers have terminated Brian Fernandez\'s contract due to his failure to comply with the league\'s substance abuse and behavioral health policy.
The 25-year-old scored 10 goals in 15 matches with the team. He entered rehab following the Timbers\' final game of the regular season.
Sources also indicate that the Timbers plan to sue Necaxa, Fernandez\'s former side.
