Aston Villa has fired Steven Gerrard as manager following their 3-0 loss to Fulham.

\"We would like to thank Steven for his hard work and commitment and wish him well for the future,\" a Villa spokesperson said in a statement.

Gerrard was appointed in November 2021 on a three-year contract.

Gerrard replaced the popular Dean Smith last November after Villa\'s poor run, having been at Scottish club Rangers since 2018 and leading them to the title.
