Arsenal hope to complete the signing of Riccardo Calafiori from Bologna this week. Calafiori had a breakout performance at Euro 2024 after a successful season in Bologna\'s three-man defense. Calafiori can also play at left-back.
Bologna likely to receive about £42 million for the player they signed from Basel last summer for £3.4 million. The Swiss club are understood to be due 50% of any profit Bologna make.
Calafiori’s arrival could hasten the departures of Jakub Kiwior and Oleksandr Zinchenko, both of whom were utilized at left-back last season.
Chelsea, Bayer Leverkusen and Paris Saint-Germain have also been linked with Calafiori.
