Arsenal Buys Mikel Merino For $37.2M From Real Sociedad

Arsenal have agreed to pay $37.2 million to Real Sociedad to buy Mikel Merino. Merino was in the final season of his deal and will give Mikel Arteta a boost in midfield as he rotates his squad.
Merino is particularly good as a duel winner to offset his weaknesses as a passer.
Merino previously played in the Premier League with Newcastle United and has played for Sociedad since 2018.
