Mats Hummels Joins Roma On Free Transfer

Roma have signed Mats Hummels on a free transfer. Hummels left Dortmund at the expiration of his contract this summer. Hummels came up with Dortmund before leaving to join Bayern Munich in 2016. Hummels returned to Dortmund in 2019 and was a key part of their run to the Champions League final.
Hummels arrival at Roma follows the departure of defender Chris Smalling to Saudi Pro League club Al Fayha earlier this week.
