While Manchester City ranks tied for second with Arsenal in points, they only rank sixth in Expected Points.
City\'s xG is 14.4 despite scoring 17 goals. Liverpool have conceded just two goals this season against an xGA of 5.72.
City has finished first in xPTS in each of the past eight seasons, including in 2020 when Liverpool won the league. In that season, City had 86.76 xPTS compared to Liverpool\'s 74.28. Liverpool, however finished with 99 points compared to City\'s 81.
