Real Madrid have increased their tracking of Florian Wirtz as there are concerns about the creativity of their midfield following the retirement of Toni Kronos. Real Madrid decided not to seek a ball-playing midfield on the transfer market this past summer.
Real Madrid\'s coaching staff believes that a player with Wirtz\'s skillset would offer a different profile to those of Eduardo Camavinga, Aurelien Tchouameni and Federico Valverde. In 10 Bundesliga games this season he has scored four goals and provided two assists, while in the Champions League he has scored three goals in four games.
A transfer in January is highly unlikely considering the type of transfer fee Bayer Leverkusen would seek, but a move in the summer is possible. According to TransferMarkt, Wirtz has a valuation of €130 million. Wirtz\'s contract with Leverkusen expires after the 26-27 season.
