Arsenal are considering Dan Ashworth as a candidate for their sporting director vacancy. Edu left Arsenal last month after joining Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis\' multi-club group.
Ashworth left his role with Manchester United after just six months with the club. Ashworth had successful spells with the Football Association (FA), Brightonand Newcastle United.
Prior to that, Ashworth also worked with Arsenal managing director Richard Garlick at West Bromwich Albion.
