Lamine Yamal\'s 15 Shots Yield Just 0.58 xG As Barcelona Exit UCL

Barcelona\'s teenage sensation Lamine Yamal registered 15 shots across two Champions League semifinal legs against Inter Milan, but accumulated just 0.58 expected goals (xG) as Barcelona crashed out 7-6 on aggregate, according to The xG Philosophy.

The 17-year-old winger displayed moments of exceptional skill throughout the tie, including a Champions League record-tying 14 successful dribbles. Despite the disappointing result, his performance reinforced growing claims about his world-class potential.

Yamal was particularly unlucky in front of goal, hitting the woodwork three times across both matches. He struck the post twice in the first leg and once more in the return fixture at San Siro.

Inter goalkeeper Yann Sommer also denied the youngster with a crucial save late in the second leg, further preventing Barcelona from advancing to the final.

Yamal Promises Future Glory

\"We gave it our all — this year it couldn\'t be, but we\'ll be back, have no doubt about it,\" Yamal said following the elimination. \"Culers, we won\'t stop until we put this club where it belongs: at the very top.\"

The teenager remained defiant about his future ambitions with Barcelona, adding: \"I will keep my promise and bring it to Barcelona; we won\'t stop until we achieve it.\"

Inter Milan now advances to the Champions League Final after the hard-fought semifinal victory, ending Barcelona\'s European campaign despite Yamal\'s breakthrough performances.
