Real Madrid are close to signing Trent Alexander-Arnold from Liverpool with him becoming available for the Club World Cup. Liverpool have asked for a fee to release Alexander-Arnold in time for the tournament, which could be worth approximately $1.1 million.
With Real Madrid upgrading their right-back position, they will turn their attention to central defense with Alvaro Carreras, Dean Huijsen and William Saliba on their radar.
Real Madrid does not expect to undergo a massive overhaul of their roster with the arrival of Xabi Alonso as manager.
