Jude Bellingham plans to undergo shoulder surgery after the 2025 Club World Cup and miss the start of the 25-26 LaLiga season. Bellingham dislocated his left shoulder against Rayo Vallecano in November 2023. Bellingham stayed in the match, but missed the next four fixtures for Real Madrid and England. Bellingham has also frequently worn shoulder protection ever since.
It is unclear whether Bellingham had suffered previous shoulder problems before the dislocation against Rayo during his debut season in Spain, but Madrid staff sources said in 2023 they were aware of shoulder problems during his spell at Borussia Dortmund between 2020 and 2023.
