Wrexham Selling Stake At 19,000 Percent Valuation Increase From 2021

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Mon Jun 16, 2025 4:31 pm

Wrexham FC looking to sell a stake in the club at a valuation of $475 million approximately four years after Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney bought it in 2021 for $2.5 million. If an investor buys in at that valuation, it would represent a 18,900% valuation increase.

Wrexham has been promoted three straight times and will play in the Championship in 2025-26, which is one level below the Premier League.

Sheffield, a fellow Championship team, was sold in December for $135 million. Everton recently sold at an estimated $500 million.

In October 2024, the club reached a valuation of roughly $136 million after selling a stake for about 15% to the Allyn family.

The club needs to raise funds in order to maintain a competitive roster. From League One to the Championship, average salaries roughly triple. They are also looking to add thousands of seats to their stadium.
