Liverpool have reached an agreement with Bournemouth to sign left-back Milos Kerkez in a deal worth approximately $50 million. The 21-year-old Hungary international is expected to undergo a medical next week before signing a five-year contract at Anfield.

The deal has moved to the paperwork stage following the club-to-club agreement, according to reports from The Athletic. Kerkez emerged as a target for Liverpool after his breakout 2024-25 season with Bournemouth.

Bournemouth have already prepared for Kerkez\'s departure by signing left-back Adrien Truffert from Rennes this summer. The Cherries also acquired Argentina under-23 international Julio Soler in the same position during the winter transfer window.

Kerkez joined Bournemouth from AZ Alkmaar for £15.5 million in July 2023. He made 67 appearances across two seasons with the south coast club, establishing himself as a key player under manager Andoni Iraola.

The Hungarian defender started all 38 Premier League matches during the 2024-25 campaign. He contributed six goals and two assists while helping Bournemouth to a solid league finish.

Prior to his move to England, Kerkez helped AZ to fourth place in the Eredivisie during 2022-23. He also played a crucial role in their Conference League semi-final run that season.

\"As a kid, you dream to play at the highest level, win the trophies, be on the best teams,\" Kerkez told The Athletic in March about his ambitions.

Kerkez has earned 23 caps for Hungary since making his senior international debut in 2022. The transfer represents Liverpool\'s investment in their future at left-back as they plan for life beyond Andy Robertson.
