Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham underwent shoulder surgery in London on Wednesday and aims to return to action in October. The 22-year-old is expected to miss approximately three months following the procedure.
Bellingham originally dislocated his left shoulder in November 2023 during Madrid\'s La Liga match against Rayo Vallecano. The injury sidelined him for four matches but he managed to play through the problem since, often wearing shoulder strapping.
Bellingham delayed surgery to participate in Madrid\'s Club World Cup campaign. Madrid reached the semi-finals before losing 4-0 to Paris Saint-Germain, extending Bellingham\'s playing time into mid-July.
Bellingham will miss Madrid\'s first seven league matches in August and September. Since joining Madrid from Borussia Dortmund for €103 million in June 2023, Bellingham has become integral to the team\'s success. He has made 100 appearances, recording 38 goals and 28 assists across all competitions.
