Ethan Nwaneri and Arsenal have agreed to a new five-year contract that will run through 2030. Nwaneri\'s previous contract was set to expire in 2026.
“I’m very excited. I see this as my first real season, and part of a proper squad in the changing room. I’m so excited for what I can bring to the team and how I can help the team,” Nwaneri said.
“I’m a very versatile player, so I think I’m going to play anywhere across the front five, and I’m ready to do what the manager needs.
“I think I’ve actually become more direct over the past few years and I’ve added more goals, so I’m excited for what will come next.”
Nwaneri was eight years old when he joined Arsenal and made his first-team debut in September 2022 at the age of 15 years and 181 days. Nwaneri scored nine goals in 37 appearances during the 2024-25 season as he took advantage of an increase in opportunities due to Arsenal\'s injury issues.
