Mass Dispatch 8.0. The Users Have Spoken
In this week's edition of Mass Dispatch.......................
The Users have spoken and The Winner Of The User Vote for The Mass Dispatch Who Wants To Be A Moderator? Invitational is revealed.
The Mass Matter also discuss “Beat The Commish” and it's Deadline to sign up. We also have a last call for The General NBA Board Strike Amnesty Period.
Ask Howard follows up on a question last week and let's everyone know if there will be an NHL Version of The Who Wants To Be A Moderator? Invitational.
Then, The Mass Dispatch User, Thread and Moderator of The Week are unveiled.
Finally, Inside The Administrator's Office announces the newest member of The RealGM Moderator Team and the process behind the User's selection. There is also an update on that one NBA Team Moderator position that I am looking to fill by the start of the season.

The Winner Of The Mass Dispatch Who Wants To Be A Moderator? Invitational User Vote
Two weeks ago, I selected MadNESS as The Winner of The Mass Dispatch Who Wants To Be A Moderator? Invitational.
However, MadNESS was my choice and now all of you have had your vote on who gets to interview with me for a Moderator Position.
After some applicants declined to be part of The User Vote, it left 6 applications for Users to vote on.
And with 35 percent of the vote, The Winner was Application #1

Now, it is time to reveal the User who submitted Application #1 and the person you have selected to interview with me for a Moderator Position.

I am very pleased at the pace of sign-ups for “Beat The Commish”.
Basically, myself, Users and Moderators are going to pick all of the winners of the games for each week of the NFL Season and we will do it throughout the season.

Tonight (Wednesday) at Midnight EST is the Deadline to apply for Strike Amnesty on our General NBA Board.

So far, 3 users have applied and failed to win Strike Amnesty while another's appeal is still being reviewed by The Committee.

Well, I allowed everyone to vote and a small majority of you have spoken........
Howard's Response: Yes, there will be an NHL Who Wants To Be A Moderator? Invitational.
Only 8 users bothered to cast a vote but the majority rules.
Some of our NHL Forums are a dry pond but I'm hopeful that some good users will be found that get a few more forums going.
I will have more details next month............

Our Minnesota Timber Wolves Forum Users
As an Orlando Magic Fan, I know what it is like to see your team lose multiple stars (Shaquille O'Neal, Penny Hardaway, Tracy McGrady and Dwight Howard) via Free Agency or to trade demands.
The Magic's Expansion Rivals The Minnesota TimberWolves are going through this again after trading away Stephon Marbury and Kevin Garnett in previous years. Now, they are dealing with the inevitable trade of Kevin Love to Cleveland for Andrew Wiggins.
While I think they are getting a great return compared to other deals that involved stars, they are rebuilding yet again.
I am impressed though by their dedication to their team and for that, they are our User(s) of the Week.

They have gone the extra mile to maintain our wonderful community while also having other Moderator duties.

A new Moderator will be joining The RealGM Moderator Team tonight and it might even surprise some members of the current Moderator Team.
When The Mass Dispatch Who Wants To Be A Moderator? Invitational was in the application process, a User who I had discussed moderating with in the past decided to apply.
This user has always been one of our better NFL posters but had previous suspensions. I had been watching the user closely over the years and noticed their improved conduct.
After thinking it over, I decided that if this user was going to become a Moderator, they should go through the normal process.
So, I withdrew them from the Invitational and scheduled an interview.
When our chat was over, I felt comfortable with them joining the Moderator Team and helping out with our NFL Forums. This past weekend we had a second chat where we finalized things.
I am excited to have this longtime knowledgeable User on The Moderator Team as our new NFL Draft and College Football Moderator.
Please join me in welcoming.............
