It's still lacking in talent (world class players only come here at the tail end of their careers). Having said that, it's also way more competitive than any European league (since skill is relative). European leagues have no salary cap, and no farm system like MLB (only rich clubs can afford a proper farm system). Each league is dominated by 2-5 super rich teams (the gap between those 2-5 teams and the rest of the league is like the gap between GSW and the Suns, as in you have 2-5 teams at the level of GSW and 15-18 teams at the level of Phoenix). It's a joke.

He has the winning formula for every sport/league and executes it in his sleep.

Arguably the best exec in Toronto sport history. This guy has the Midas touch. He literally succeeds everywhere he goes. Yeah, it kinda sucks that he left, but that's part of what makes him great. The man has no complacency, and instead of just sticking around collecting paychecks and admiring his work, which a lot of execs do, he went somewhere else where his skills were needed.

SMH at those that chose not to even casually follow this team for the last 2 seasons. I have friends that are huge European soccer fans and they all admit that the quality of soccer in the MLS has gotten so much better and that at the very least TFC has several players on the team that could also be impactful in the Euro leagues. TFC didn't sign their DP's at the tail-end of their careers, they are in the primes right now. Bradley, Giovinco, Altidore and Vasquez - sure they won't be stars for the big guns in Europe but doesn't meant their not good. Now lets celebrate and then go for the CONCACAF Champion's Cup (at least go far in it) to shut everyone up about MLS not being a major league.

Used to, but I got tired of dealing with 14 year olds that think they're playing Call of Duty and play Ana like she's a DPS. Don't even have my PS4 anymore. Now I just keep up with the competitive scene, partly because I think it's the most aesthetically pleasing video game out there as a spectator, and two to see if Blizzard can actually turn the OWL into a legit league.

It is my pleasure to post in this thread.

TFC was a lot of fun this year. Saw two games and the semis. Wish I could be there for the finals.\

Those tfc players really enjoy soccer, toronto, and their fans.

What a game! Total domination.

And yes the league is competitive. I think this TFC team is no slouch, they could probably take on some of the smaller names in european club football.

That was a lot of fun. Congrats to TFC! Great game.

I think there are a lot of people that only watch Champions League/Real Madrid/Barcelona/World Cup that look at MLS and think the quality isn’t there. But there’s a lot more to football than that.

When TFC first joined MLS, the quality wasn’t there. But now, a good MLS squad looks to me like they would be at home in the English Championship, one step below the Premier league. That’s still really good football.
