Don Garber in his state of the league address today said he hopes MLS is one of the top leagues in the world by 2022.

Will increase salary to make it happen slowly over the next 9 years.

aw ****, congrats KC.

Time will heal this pain. I hopefully this isn't Jasons last game on the sideline.

What a shoot out. Hate that it ended in such a way, but certainly adds to the drama for next season.

Now most importantly, will TFC have a winning season next year?

That was a phenomenal match. Had everything you could want out of it and it'll help grow the sport even more in the states. Great victory, Sporting KC.

TV ratings for the MLS final, not good, not good at all.

So much for MLS growing in North America.

not surprised. majority of soccer fans in the U.S. could name you more players on Sunderland than on Sporting KC

Mostly likely, but you always hope for a slight increase each season.

They have plenty of people going to games, they just need to find a TV audience too.

I think that happens with more well known players coming to the league. The crowds at a lot of games this year were impressive

i guess thats what happens when youre going up against the SEC Championship game. UNImas ratings beat ESPN ratings and that alone is bizarre.

RSL/NYCFC's worst kept secret. I can say we all knew this was coming, but it still hurts. Feels like we just lost the MLS Cup or something....

Weird to think he'll be out of the league a whole season as NYCFC gets ready for 2015.

The league as a whole will miss his leadership.
